AHHA develops industry-wide standards for product quality, scientific validation, ethical marketing, and research best practices. These standards are determined through scientific research, industry consensus, and input from MHI, IHSA, and other experts, with final policies voted on by members. As a self-regulating association, AHHA enforces compliance through warnings, probation, public delisting, or membership revocation, with penalties decided democratically by members. Companies voluntarily agree to uphold these standards, ensuring integrity and accountability within the industry.
