About AHHA
The hydrogen health industry is experiencing rapid growth, accompanied by increased scrutiny, inconsistent standards, and a wide spectrum of product quality.
The American Hydrogen Health Association (AHHA) was founded to address these challenges. As a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association dedicated exclusively to hydrogen health, AHHA serves as a collective voice and self-regulatory body advancing the common business interests of its members.
Our Mission
The mission of AHHA is to elevate the hydrogen health industry by setting enforceable standards for business accountability, fostering collaboration among its members, and protecting consumers through the promotion of safe, ethical, and evidence-based uses of hydrogen in health and wellness.
Our Role
AHHA is focused on industry accountability, collaboration, and responsible business practices. Its role includes developing member standards, maintaining a Code of Conduct, supporting accurate public communication, coordinating member-led initiatives, and providing a structured process for addressing concerns.
AHHA also draws upon education, research, and technical guidance from organizations working within the broader molecular hydrogen field, including the Molecular Hydrogen Institute (MHI) and the International Hydrogen Standards Association (IHSA).
Member-Led Governance
AHHA is governed by its Board of Directors and supported by members and committees. Members help shape association priorities, standards, educational initiatives, and public-awareness efforts according to the rights and opportunities associated with their membership tier.
AHHA’s bylaws, Code of Conduct, voting procedures, conflict-of-interest requirements, and enforcement policies create a transparent framework for how the association operates.
How AHHA Works
AHHA members agree to follow the association’s Code of Conduct and applicable standards. Members can contribute through committees, industry initiatives, education, standards development, and governance opportunities available within their membership tier.
AHHA’s work includes:
